Before launching into the actual warfare between the Persian Empire and Greek city states, it’s worth examining how the Greeks prepared for war. Athens prepared by building a navy, everyone prepared by planning to deploy their armies, and we’ll explore the whole history of the famous “300” Spartans.

Trevor, thanks for all your great work.
You are probably already aware, but the audio quality on this episode is of lower quality than other episodes. In fact, I only hear you out of one headphone speaker (I’ve not experienced that with any of your other episodes or with other podcasts). It is almost as if some option was inadvertently selected while you recorded. You did mention at the beginning problems with lost content that you had to re-record.
It is possible this is at my end, but all other podcasts, music, etc. do not exhibit this only-in-one-speaker issue.
Just thought I would point this out in case you were not aware.
Keep up the good work.
Spencer
